Intrigued by real estate from a young age, Mr. Skiff grew up in a modest family that bought and renovated fixer-uppers. He graduated from UCLA with honors in Economics, Business, and Real Estate, and married his college sweetheart. Mr. Skiff went directly into real estate development as an Acquisitions Agent in Los Angeles. At age 23, he then joined the largest developer of senior apartments on the West Coast where he excelled in acquiring land and processing entitlements. Chris found this work incredibly fulfilling – seeing the seniors’ joy moving into new homes.

At 28 years old, Mr. Skiff formed his own firm, Horizon Multi-Housing, Inc., to pursue the growing opportunities in senior housing.

Mr. Skiff has become a recognized leader in the field, and has spoken at several professional associations and conventions such as the Assisted Living Federation of America. Chris has also received many prestigious awards, including Builder of the Year and Lifetime Director of the Building Industry Association of the Central Coast. His most notable project, The Manse, was also selected as the Best Commercial Remodel in the Nation by Professional Remodeler Magazine.

Chris endeavors to live out his Christian faith through authentically loving and serving others in his business and community, as well as through his marriage and raising his five wonderful children, two of whom are adopted from Russia.
